What a Moron!

Today, a person writes in their co-worker who has planned his own retirement party. However, the party is a dinner party which is $45 a plate. The writer complains that this is too much money for people do not have the manager and supervisor salaries. Not to mention, this soon to be retiree as asked everyone to chip in $10 for his retirement gift. Originally, there was suppose to be a luncheon date for a reasonable amount of money and everyone confirmed their attendance however, it was cancelled in place of the dinner without consulting anyone. The writer thinks that they were tricked into attending the dinner since he cancelled the luncheon. Ultimately, the staff asked the retiree to reschedule the luncheon because the dinner party is too expensive and also asked that the $10 gift be optional. The question: Are the staff members being unreasonable to ask this?

People who write in for advice on issues like this don’t know whether to wind their butts or scratch their watches. Is this a joke? You have to ask if YOU are the ones being unreasonable? I am appalled. Just for that, I will tell you that, YES, you are an unbelievable, whiny, complaining, cheap-assed bastard. Of course you are unreasonable! You should be glad that this guy even wants pee-ons like you at his retirement. Be grateful you’re even going. $10 is pretty cheap for a retirement gift. You should spend more like $100. That’s right; add another zero to that wad. Pay the $45 for your dinner, (it will probably be the best you’ve ever had) then go home and figure out how you can work overtime to make up for the money you spent on this poor retired person who won’t have a job anymore. You should be ashamed of yourself to complain that it’s too much money. HE SHOULD HAVE ASKED YOU TO PAY FOR THE WHOLE THING. Feel lucky he didn’t.
