Bello Goes Shopping

Last night Bello went shopping to buy me gifts. I went to a couple of stores as well for some last minute gifts and I found the perfect present for Bello. I had to have it. I splurged a little more than I wanted to but how often do you come across that perfect gift for someone and you actually have the money to buy it? So, I spent a little more than we agreed and I bought that perfect gift and I cannot wait until Christmas to see the look in his eyes when he opens it. It's funny because I remember as a little girl, I couldn't wait to see who bought me what. Now, I look forward to seeing the looks on everyone's faces when they open thier gifts. It's that satisfaction knowing that a lot of thought and time was put into thier gift and picked out or made especially for them. It's the love behind the gift that counts.

Bello was so happy when he came home with gifts in hand. AND ALL FOR ME!!! :) When he came home, I was wrapping some other gifts and I had his special one out. I did not expect him home so early. So, I hear the door open, grabbed the gift and ran into the bedroom to shove it in the closet. Well, the gift is so long that I had trouble getting it into the space inside the closet and I began to panic. Finally, I found a place for it and poor Bello is searching for me (not that I could go anywhere far; our apartment is so small) but he had left my gifts outside the door so that I wouldn't see them. I stayed in the bedroom watching TV, waiting for him to finish wrapping my gifts. When he was done, he opened the door and said, "Okay, they're done, you can come out now." I couldn't help but laugh at the wrap job. Bello says he can't wrap for anything. It's true! There are folds where there shouldn't be folds, tape where there shouldn't be tape, and not to mention, the double sided tape he used on the OUTSIDE of the Christmas paper. The wrap job was so horrible but it's cute and I still love those awful looking gifts because they are from Bello and he tried so hard to wrap them. It's love and that's all it is. If it were done by someone you knew who doesn't really care about you, then you wouldn't love those gifts even if they were perfectly wrapped. But these gifts were wrapped with love and to me, they look horribly perfect. Bello is so proud of himself and so am I.
