Oh! Christmas Tree!

Saturday, while fighting off what almost became a cold, we went and picked out our Christmas Tree. What a beauty she is. Belle and I stayed up for a while on Saturday night and decorated the tree while listening to some wonderful, spirit lifting Christmas songs that Bello downloaded off the computer. Over and over, we listened to Osmond Family Christmas, Bing Crosby, Brenda Lee and lots more. I prefer the old songs rather than the newer versions. Belle and I decided that our theme was going to be glass bulb ornaments of green, blue, silver, gold, red and clear. We wrapped the tree with white garlands. If you read that again, the order of the decorating sequence is true. We put the bulbs on and then realized we had forgotten the garland. Nonetheless, we managed. After that we added cute little red bows. Last, we topped it off with our beautiful animated Angel.
Bello went outside and thought it would look nice to put rope lights on the hand rail of the stairs, accented with a green garland. What a great job he did! Later, I sat down with a glass of White Merlot, still listening to those Christmas songs and wrapped gift after gift while Bello watched TV in the bedroom and Belle slept the night away. I had caught up on my sleep the night before and earlier that morning. I couldn't quite shake that scratchy throat that came along Friday morning but the White Merlot still tasted good.
