5,000 Songs

The Apple 20gb IPod is a little tiny cell phone-like piece of equipment that holds 5,000 of your favorite songs. Is there anyone that knows 5,000 songs???? I know and heard a lot of songs throughout my 30 year history but I couldn’t possibly remember 5,000, let alone 5,000 to necessitate an IPod. Bello had been at the computer for eons now, convinced that he will master the ITunes and IPod. I admit, it’s a pretty nifty little thing and quite comprehensive and organized but Bello has managed to download a little over 1,000 songs including nasty little skits like Marijuana Yoda, and that took four days. Okay, I’ll cut him a little slack. He actually finished uploading all the songs in two days but the funniest thing happened. When Bello went to download the second batch of songs, it updated the ones that he had already in the IPod. Allow me to explain. If you download songs from your ITunes into your IPod, delete the songs afterwards from ITunes, then download the second batch from ITunes, the IPod is going to update everything, including songs that are no longer there. In other words, if it is no longer in your ITunes, it will no longer be on your IPod. What’s that saying? Oh yeah. Men don’t know how to read directions.

If Bello had read the directions first, he would have known that the IPod is automatically set to update ALL songs. BUT – ALAS! The IPod can be changed so that whatever he chooses can be updated. Hmm-mm. So, one lesson learned. Let’s see what else this crafty computer has in store. Let us just hope that Bello doesn’t go insane before the damn thing breaks down.
