To Live or Not To Live - That Is The Question

I wrote my final essay about euthanasia. Thanks to everyone who helped me with this. I couldn’t have done it without you.

I ventured over to Kim’s blog and she posted a comment about the Terri Schiavo case. There is a website that is dedicated to Terri. I feel guilty about laughing hysterically about the comments. Minnie’s gonna think I am very demented but I couldn’t help it. This whole fiasco is giving me a headache and I am tired of debating it, so that’s my excuse; I needed a good laugh off of juvenile humor. So sue me.

I understand the whole starvation defense. Bello and I were discussing this last night and he said,

“They claim that she feels nothing but how the hell do they know what she does and doesn’t feel? They’re not her. They can’t speak for her.”

I wouldn’t want the pain of starving to death so why don’t they just administer a lethal injection? Mickey made a very good point when he wrote, “If we are free to make choices about the quality of our life, then we should have those same choices about the quality of our death.” I agree. Is starvation a quality death? Anyone can argue this because half of America doesn’t have quality health.

On another note: We must embrace ourselves for the Bible huggers. They are gonna have a field day with this one. The whole world will be officially cast as evil-doer sinners and we’re all gonna burn in hell. What else is new. Those of us who don’t follow the Bible have been burning in hell for how many years? The last person who told me I was gonna burn in hell almost died of shock when I told him, “He’s YOUR god, you burn in hell.”
