That Ain't Funny!

Belle came home from school today and said that she, Jenny, Corrine and the other girls all had a conference with the VP. Corrine watches too much TV and ripped off the Nazi Hit List idea from the school shootings in Minnesota. It was meant to be a joke. I’m not laughing.

Corrine is back at school but the funny thing is, the VP has not yet called me to explain about the incident being solved. As Minnie would say, “This shows a complete lack of character.” And it does…..

The point that I stressed to this VP was the lack of communication on his part. Did he listen? It doesn’t appear so. I will give him a few more days and if he has not called me by Friday, then I will give him a call to once again express my dissatisfaction with his way of handling things. What kind of Vice Principal shows blatant disregard for a parent's concern over an issue that clearly was not minor? Belle’s VP, that’s who.

Maybe I read more into it than I should have but with recent school shootings, you can’t be too careful. It was broadcasted on the news last night that several students in our area (supposedly Nazis) knew about the shooting in Minnesota before it was carried out. Apparently, the boy who lived on the Indian Reservation in Minnesota had frequently chatted to other students in California which is pretty far from Minnesota. 15 California or Nazi students were arrested last night for failing to notify authorities about the plans of the young Indian boy. ARRESTED! Authorities mean business and they’re not taking any talk about shooting any students on any campus lightly. It doesn’t matter how far away you are, if you don’t notify authorities and they find that out, you can get into a lot of trouble, Nazi or not. This still scares me though because there was a Nazi list involved in the Minnesota shootings and I am unsettled about the thought that these supposed Nazis are some short miles from me.

I am glad that Belle went to the principal and told him about Corrine’s crazy joke but I did stress to her that “if” there is a next time, and I hope there never will be, then she MUST tell EVERY detail no matter how scared she is. I think she learned her lesson.

As for this VP – he is forever on my shit list and I will be watching for every little thing he does wrong for the next two years that my daughter will be in that school.
