For Adam

First let me clarify something. I thought that Bello had said the Sublime we were going to go see consisted of the two remaining members and a new lead singer. Apparently, he was talking about something else. The band we went to see was Sublime Remembered. The band members were close friends with Bradley Nowell. Big difference!

Anywho, it was a blast! The first band that played was very very very strange. They were okay but not great. There were two singers; a girl and a boy. The girl was okay but she needed to take some vocal lessons. When she would belt out a note, it was loud and off key. Really annoying. The second band was good but the guys in the band looked as if they were hyped up on themselves. Fuckin bastards.

Then comes Sublime Remembered. We waited through two bands for two hours. Agony. When they came on stage, everyone lost it. They sounded almost EXACTLY like the original Sublime and they had a pleased crowd. I was truly impressed and they played all the hit songs, including my favorite, Badfish. Who doesn’t like Badfish? How can you not like Badfish? You’re not a true Sublime fan if you don’t like Badfish. Anyway, it was to short. IT DIDN’T LAST LONG ENOUGH!!! They should have cut out the bands before them and played the full four hours themselves. Shit, it’s not like Sublime doesn’t have four hours worth of songs and hit ones at that. I’ll even listen to them twice! “It’s so nice I wanna hear the same song twice” Hey Adam, what song is that from? I’ll even give you a hint. It’s off the Robbin’ the Hood album.

Afterwards, the band came outside and greeted everyone and thanked everyone for coming out to see them play. They were very social and it was great. That’s something that you just don’t see. They were so nice and so appreciative and what a good lookin band! I am so glad that I went to this concert and I am proud to say that even though it wasn’t the original Sublime, I still saw a damn good band that would have made Brad proud.
