It's Been Real

So, today is my last day here at the old architect firm. Monday I will be at my new job, nine blocks from my house! No more commute!!! I am so excited.

Even though I love the place I am at now, it's been really tough not being able to excel the way I want to. I have felt that I was not promoted because of one person who prevented that from happening. I feel that I have been manipulated and I really didn't know the true nature of this particular person. She really surprised me with her complete change of attitude towards me and it hurts to leave this company on bad terms with her. Everyone else, has wished me well but my boss decided that she was going to take a vacation day. ON MY LAST DAY. That says a lot right there.

I found out that a really good band is playing at the local fair this weekend. These guys were awesome. I have never seen two people play a guitar and violin both simultaneously. I can't even explain it properly. The guy with the guitar stands in front with his left hand strumming the guitar. The guy behind him, holding the violin has his right hand on the frets of the guitar. The guy with the guitar is playing the violin with the bow in his right hand while the other guy has his left hand on the frets. Both are playing both instruments at the same time. If you can picture this in your head, it's the most amazing thig I have seen anyone do in music.

The band that is playing is called Mogollon. Check out thier site and if you are in the Grass Valley area this weekend, come and see them perform.
