It's Cute How They Miss Me

I have been in regular contact with some of the people at my previous job. That was the only downfall to leaving; I miss my friends tremendously and I feel the heartache. I was going back and forth via email with one of my friends, Kerry. Here are some of the things that I found interesting. I just hope that my previous supervisor (Annie) is paying for this:

My Email: Mary says the receptionist is holding her own and I am glad to hear that. I was worried there for a bit.

Kerry’s Email: Mary may say that the receptionist is holding her own, but I think she's totally annoying. If I have someone come to see me for the library or something, she will call me and if I am at Steve's desk or on the phone or something, she just leaves a message. She doesn't even know where I am. You had some kind of sixth sense and always knew where I was. She won't even call Amanda (Kerry’s Assistant) to see if she wants to go meet with the rep instead. She makes bad coffee, and she opens my mail and delivers it without an envelope. Just the contents, on my desk. If she even opens my wine, I will be so pissed. So annoying. Everyone here misses you. The new lady bugs a lot of people.

I feel so bad for my friends there. I at least wanted someone who would be willing to do the same things I did for these people. Maybe not run all over town to do errands for Annie but at least perform an excellent service for the people within the office. It’s sad that my friends are the ones who have to pay the price because Annie was such a bitch in the end.

The funny thing is Annie wasn’t involved in the hiring process of the new girl. Annie hired me herself but when it came time to interview for my replacement, management didn’t want Annie to be involved. She made a good choice when hiring me. However, they made a bad choice when hiring the new girl who has no computer knowledge whatsoever. The new girl explained that herself in her interview. What idiots. My job revolved around the computer. The other day, I get a call from the new girl because she didn’t know how to log into the computer. SHE CALLS ME! On the message it said that Annie told her to call me. It’s not my problem anymore so I refused to call her back. I don’t want to be a bitch but if they want my services, then my freelance fee is $50/hr. Take it or leave it.
