Sue you, sue me

I was watching the news last night when they announced that doctors came up with a new theory as to why people are overweight. It’s all about mind control.

WELL SOMEBODY SLAP ME IN THE FACE. WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THAT?

Mind control, self control, well duh, of course it’s all about control. We all know that. But they did point out one possible fact that was pretty interesting. Thin people when full, don’t have that neuro thought to continue to eat; the overweight do. That’s the underlying difference. They may be onto something with this.

I was anorexic for many years and once I fought through that and was able to stabilize my eating habits, I do recall eating my three meals a day but not continuing with the consumption beyond the point of fullness. Today, it’s a whole different story. It’s those high in fat foods that get me now, when I was able to turn a blind eye so easily ten years ago. Sure, I ate the fatty foods then but I didn’t consume the high amount that I do today. Back then, my brain let me know that I was full and although I enjoyed those fatty foods, it didn’t continue to stimulate that part of my brain after having enough to eat.

The doctors tested thin people and overweight people. They both were fed adequate portions according to weight and size of their person. On day one, the first meal consisted of a well rounded diet meal including meats, vegetables, breads and fruits. On day two the meal consisted of high fatty foods like potato chips, cupcakes, fast food, etc. Once the meals were finished, their brains were analyzed. Doctors showed pictures of fatty foods to both the thin and overweight people on both days; the same exact pictures. Results revealed that although overweight people are full, that signal in the brain still lights up upon eyeing fatty foods. The thin people’s little light bulb showed no light. Do you see where I am getting at here, peeps?

The ironic part to all this, after that segment was shown, the next segment was about KFC being sued for using high fatty oils to fry their chicken in. That is so “Typical America”. We know that our overweight is due to bad eating habits and lack of self control so we blame and sue the fast food industry for our problems.

Well, my sister gains weight off of fruit because her body doesn’t properly digest the natural sugars. I told her to go sue the agriculture industry. She said, “Why, when all I have to do is NOT EAT IT?!
