The Mediocre Blogger

When I first started this blog I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I didn’t understand the concept of commenting or even the fact that anyone would bother to read my blog. Now that I am an established blogger for two years now, I still feel that something is missing.

Could it be that my posts are inconsistent? I write a great post one day and the next one I write is something stupid like, “Today I fell on my head and I was hit with the thought that I could run this country into the ground just a good as Bush can. It dawned on me that the smartest person or the dumbest person in the world can majorly screw up ANYTHING including a country!” Ah-ha! I have never written a post with such mind dismissing content.

Wait a minute, I just wrote it. Scratch that.

When I first started my blog, I of course searched for other blogs so I could gather some idea of what it was that fellow bloggers expect from me. Imagine my amazement when I discovered that there were actual people out there blogging who had better ideas for topics than I did. No way; I am smarter than everyone else and I write with a characteristic mind that no one else can duplicate. Then much to my dismay, I discovered that my writing didn’t just mirror the mere average, but that I had to actually go looking for other bloggers to convince them that I am a good blogger. Imagine that! I, having to convince people that I am a good blogger. The nerve of these people; overlooking my opinionated and immature thoughts. Who are they to just give me a glance; a short once-over and then click NEXT! Do they think they are better than me???

And just think, my very first post was just as arrogant as those thoughts you just read. If you look on the left sidebar, you will see a link to “Don’t You Just Hate That?”. Yes folks, that was my very first post which contained the whining, bitching and moaning thoughts of a mediocre blogger.

No wonder no one bothered to stop and read my blog. Who wants to read someone’s complaint about something she probably does herself!

Shit. I wouldn’t want to read me either.

My goal now is to bring to you thought provoking posts that will leave you saying, “Wow, that post was so great that it left me speechless. We give Bella a standing ovation!!”

I have no idea how to do that.
