Hopefully you all have noticed that I have a few links in relation to three gentleman referred to as The West Memphis Three. For those of you who do not know the story of this tragedy, I suggest you read it here.

In short, three men were wrongfully accused and convicted of three gruesome murders and one of them remains on death row. Imagine, your son, brother or grandson being accused of a murder he did not commit and then convicted for it simply because he was different.

I urge you to please read the stories, visit the site and help; even if it’s just a little note to one of these men in prison, offering your moral support.

On the West Memphis Three site, I have read the transcripts which contain over 2,000 pages of testimonies and appeals. I have never read anything like it in my life. I thought I had problems. Mine are minimal compared to these three innocent people who are sitting in prison begging to be heard.

Convicted purely by 1) the influence of the media, 2) one man who claimed sacrificial killings were being done all over America, 3) a tainted jury who presumed these men guilty before innocent, 4) undocumented evidence and 5) a confession coerced by the police, after 12 hours of interrogation, from a 17 year old boy with the IQ of 72.

Even the state’s prosecutor, who thought there was no case against the men at all, was shocked when the jury found them guilty.

There was a remarkable lack of physical evidence against anybody."~ Deputy District Attorney John Fogleman (Prosecutor)

Ironically, the same judge that ran the first trial is the same judge who refuses the appeals from these three men claiming that there is no evidence of their innocence. Not to mention, this corrupt judge refused to allow key evidence that proved their innocence during the original trial, but allowed pictures from the prosecutors side, depicting nothing but speculations of what the pictures may contain.

I suggest you read the story; you WILL be shocked.

And if you happen to know a person who was on the West Memphis Jury, you might want to ask your friend, “How the hell do you sleep at night knowing you put three innocent men in prison, one on death row? How stupid do you have to be to convict a person based on no evidence at all?”
