Alone On A Desert Island

What would you bring if you were alone on a desert island? Read that again because it doesn’t say Tropical Island or deserted island; it says a desert island. Moreover, the posing question of “what to bring” assumes the actuality of knowing you will be on a desert island. However, I don’t know anyone who would want to purposely place themselves alone on a desert island.

I was assiduously searching the net for essay topics and happened upon the subject: “Alone on a desert island”. Is it me, or is that an oxy-moron? Is there such a thing as a “desert island”? I was determined to unmask the truth about this mysterious place, so I stormed the internet with my “desert island” probe and this is what I came up with:

The water is a serene blue encompassing a humble island with three palm trees. It’s small, not much to it but not my idea of a desert island. Palm trees + blue water do not equal a desert island. Desert Island + Palm Trees equal Iran.

Now ponder the fact that you’re on a desert island in Iran. What would you bring?

A tarp, water, food, sun block, sun glasses, a book and a freakin OOZIE!
