Grateful Cat

A co-worker of mine asked me to take her kitty because she felt that I would provide a loving and safe home for her baby. The white kitty, Jade, is the one I will be inheriting.

My co-worker had adopted two dogs and Jade hasn't taken to well to them. She is frightened by them and hides frequently to avoid the dogs. The other kitty could careless about them.

On Friday, we will be adding another family member and hopefully she will behave better than our boys and not run away from us. Jeez, I didn't think we were that bad at parenting pets. Sammy likes us but then again he doesn't have the option to bolt out the front door or jump off the balcony. We are presented with a second chance and hopefully we will do better this time.

Of course we will give her a new name, Alethia, which means "truthful; mythological goddess of truth". Alethia (Al-thee-uh) is my pagan name and it is also a title of a song made famous by the Grateful Dead.
